Research in the Healthy Low-carbon Transport Hub’s (HLTHub) is supported via an established People’s Panel, to ensure that the HLTHub is inclusive and provides a legacy of implementation, with specific focus on under-represented and less-heard groups.
Members of the public have been recruited to this panel from local networks and represent socio-demographic, ethnic and geographic diversity. Our panel bring a diverse range of skills and experience with backgrounds in engineering, law, mental health, educational training, media, nursing and social care.
Members meet in-person and online throughout the project, working as project partners to co-create all project deliverables. The panel debate proposed approaches and interventions to help decide exactly what we study and how. The panel ensures that the voice of citizens in communities affected by research and transport interventions is heard and empower them in questioning the implementation of innovations.
