“How do we co-create systems approaches and develop transdisciplinary metrics to assess schemes, both when deciding whether to implement them and in evaluating their effectiveness?”
We Using the transdisciplinary conceptual framework, we will develop a new transdisciplinary assessment framework for planning and transportation schemes. The framework will be created with the People’s Panel and Stakeholder Advisory Council, to reflect outcomes that matter across a spectrum encompassing health, health inequality, wellbeing, economic, social, carbon, environmental and biodiversity benefits, developing and strengthening current consideration of health impacts in both pre-implementation appraisal and post-implementation evaluation.
Our research is co-creating an assessment framework that can be applied to healthy low-carbon transport interventions such as low-traffic neighbourhoods, mobility hubs, modal filters and other measures, which are expected to both (i) reduce carbon emissions (ii) improve health outcomes and (iii) address health inequalities.
